From the south (Barmouth) take the A496 to the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy. After passing the ‘Ael y Bryn’ Hotel, turn right, signposted Byrdir 1mile wtb brown sign.

From the north (Harlech) take the A496 south for 5 miles. After passing the village sign Dyffryn Ardudwy take the third turning on the left, signposted Byrdir 1mile (brown sign).

Drive exactly one mile up the hill. Go through a gate on your right and head down the hill and then up the other side. Go past ‘Ty Mawr’ and the cowsheds and follow the road round to the right until you get to Byrdir (dead end).

Byrdir sits above the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy, 5 miles between Harlech and Barmouth on the Cambrian coast road the A496.
